8 Components

These are the 8 areas of study and practice.

1)
Basics includes the basic cooridinations, flexibility, and strength training.

2)
Form includes the 48 Combined Tai Chi Form, which has several levels of practice.

3)
Shape is the study of alighment. It includes Standing Practices.

4)
Chi Kung is the study of energy and includes breath work.

5)
Push Hands is the study of Silk Reeling and partnered alignment and sensitivity, it also trains strength and reactions.

6)
San Shou is the study of Large and Small San Shou. Large San Shou trains the body to move with an opponent's body and primarily involves rotaion and foot work. Small San Shou trains arm work and is teaches basic reactions. Joint Partner Drills use movements from the form to train basic ideas and movements of the body and arms.

7)
Applications is the study of techniques, strikes, joint manipulation, throws, kicks. But also includes power, impact and reaction training. It is devided into Large and Small Circle Fighting.

8)
Philosophy, covers fighting theory, ideas, and tranformation.
